Inspired by growing up in beach trap tourist locales and ideas of archipelago exploration, Nathan Treviño and Max Perim have made foreign miniature wonderments.
Appropriating beach aesthetics and idolizing a swimsuit vibrance, the alien worlds use color and form for their eye-catching, confectionery, and candy-like resonance.
Below are the sketches that inspired the abandoned scenes. Recently shown at The Miller Gallery, they were accompanied by a series of instructions including:
1. Survey crash site and surrounding area, look for opens places with with lots of sunlight.
2. Unfold lawn chair or beach towel, always carry a towell.
